COOL HUNTER CONTEST

Hoy vengo con un post bien cargadito. Hace unas semanas asistí al Gran Canaria Fashion&Friends, un evento organizado en el edificio Miller por Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, el sello de diseño canario más conocido internacionalmente. Este evento nació en 2012, para acercar a la sociedad el trabajo de jóvenes diseñadores, así como para facilitarles un entorno de intercambio, promoción y cercanía. GCF&F es un escaparate de tendencias y talento, en el cual se encuentran numerosos stands de pequeños diseñadores canarios con potencial para convertirse en grandes marcas. (Tengo muchas fotos de ese día, ya se las enseñaré jjj)

Allí me llamó la atención un puesto que contaba con diversos maniquíes vestidos con muchísimo estilo, y me acerqué a preguntar. Eran las chicas de Cool Hunter Canarias, dedicadas a actualizar un blog "cazando" lo mejor del streetstyle canario, y que están teniendo un éxito tremendo. 

Me puse a hablar con ellas para votar al mejor look de entre los maniquíes, pero para mi sorpresa, existía otro concurso para seleccionar a la mejor vestida de los asistentes al GCF&F, y me pidieron hacerme unas fotos para participar:

Today I come with a quite huge post. A few weeks ago, I attended the Gran Canaria Fashion & Friends, an event developed by Gran Canaria Moda Cálida and which took place in the Miller building (Gran Canaria Moda Cálida is the most international canary design seal). This event started in 2012 in order to bring the society the work of young designers as well as to facilitate an environment of sharing, promotion and closeness. GCF&F is a showcase of trends and talent, in which there are a lot of small stands property of canary designers with potential to become major brands. (I took many pictures that day, but I'll show them later jjj)

There I saw a stand that had several mannequins dressed with a great style, so I get there to ask about them. There were the girls of Cool Hunter Canarias, who have created a blog in which they "hunt" the best of the canary streetstyle, and they are also having a tremendous success.

I started talking to them to vote for the best look from the mannequins, but I got surprised when they told me that there was another contest to select the best dressed at GCF&F, and asked me for some photos to participate:

 

Me sentí muy halagada, ya que pude notar que apreciaban mi estilo personal, y accedí encantada a participar en el concurso, que consistía en acumular mayor cantidad de votos en su web, y donde, gracias al apoyo de mi familia y amigos en peso (a los que debo un montón) pude llegar a la estrepitosa cifra de 5.306 votos, acumulando más de 7000 páginas vistas en el blog.

I was very flattered, because I felt that they appreciated my personal style, so I delightedly agreed to participate in the contest, which was just to accumulate as many votes you can on their website, and where I could reach 5,306 votes, accumulating over 7000 viewed pages on the blog, thanks to the support of my family and friends (those who I love a lot).

Aun así, tras mantenerme en cabeza durante 3 jornadas seguidas, quedé en segunda posición por muy poquito, pero todos esos votos sirvieron para que el equipo de Cool Hunter Canarias se fijara en mí, y en la importancia que tiene para mí este mundo, y no dudaron en ponerse en contacto conmigo para comunicarme que era la ¡ELEGIDA COMO MEJOR LOOK FEMENINO POR LA PROPIA WEB! Y que por tanto estaba invitada a la entrega de premios, que tuvo lugar el pasado jueves 21, en la Terraza Marina Club, un sitio encantador en el muelle deportivo que realmente recomiendo para tomar una copa con el mejor ambiente.

Para la ocasión, opté por un look elegante pero a la vez singular, por lo que pueden ver en las fotos. Sé que no se aprecia mucho, así que por eso también tengo preparado un post con el outfit para dentro de unos días, ¡no desesperen!

Although that, after staying on the #1'st place for 3 days, I finished in the second place for very little amount of votes, but all those votes helped a lot, because the Cool Hunter Canarias team noticed me that I was the CHOSEN AS BEST FEMALE LOOK BY THE OWN WEB! And therefore, I was invited to the awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 21 in Marina Club Terrace, a lovely place next to the sea which I really recommend for drinking something rounded by the best atmosphere.

For the occasion, I opted for a stylish look but quite singular at the same time, as you can see in the pictures. I know that there you can't appreciate it at all, so that's why I have also prepared a post with the outfit for a few days, do not despair!

El premio es un flipe. Un lote de productos de Sabina, ¡que tiene realmente de todo y de las mejores marcas! Un montón de cremitas de Clarins para el cuidado de mi piel, que en invierno suelo olvidarme de ella un poco, un neceser para guardarlo todo, perfume Juicy Couture, iluminador de Yves Saint Laurent, leche limpiadora La Prairie, aftersun Shiseido (que nos viene muy bien a las isleñas jjjj) y varios productos de Biotherm para hombre junto a un perfume de Angel Schlesser (¡Si es que a mi chico le ha salido rentable incluso!) Todo esto acompañado de un tratamiento de belleza en Sunao y dos copas en la Marina Club. ¡Aquí les dejo las fotitos!

The award is awesome. A batch of products from Sabina, which really has everything and from the best cosmetic brands! Lots of Clarins creams to care of my skin, which I ussualy forget a little in winter, a cosmetic bag to store everything, Juicy Couture Perfume, Yves Saint Laurent highlighter, La Prairie cleanser, Shiseido aftersun (that is useful for the island girls jjj) and several products by Biotherm for men with an Angel Schlesser fragance (My boyfriend could take profit of this too!) All of this coupled with a beauty treatment in Sunao and two drinks at Marina Club. Here I leave the pics!

De veras, no puedo estar más contenta y agradecida por todo esto, ha sido lo que me ha motivado realmente a empezar por fin este blog. A toda mi familia por no dejar de compartir el enlace a la web cada día, a mis amigos por aguantarme siendo tan plasta con difundidos de whatsapp y comentarios, y a las chicas de Cool Hunter Canarias, que además de tener un estilazo tremendo, son un amor.

Really, I can not be happier or thankful for all of this experience. This has been what has really motivated me to finally start this blog. Thanks to all my family for not stop sharing the link to the website every day, to my friends for support me although the spam I did on Whatsapp and Facebook walls, and also thanks to the girls  from Cool Hunter Canarias, who have a gorgeous style and are lovely instead.
